Lead-in: Each theme usually begins with two questions that take five to ten minutes to activate students’ background language knowledge, draw students’ attention to the topic, and increase their motivation.

Listening: Based on the natural process of first language acquisition, each theme starts with listening activities, and Module C also starts with listening activities. Everyday spoken texts, dialogues, conversations, etc., including interesting topics, are presented through different strategies and techniques that aim to provide students with language input easily.

Speaking: Students are given a variety of different activities to practise speaking skills confidently and fluently while conveying information verbally through real-life tasks. The activities in this section are intended to assist students in activating and applying their knowledge of functions, structures, and vocabulary. Speaking skills are also practised in both the pre and post activities in the other three language skills sections.

Reading: Different types of texts that cover relevant, interesting, and motivating topics are presented to provide students with deep learning. Students are exposed to discovering target structures and vocabulary embedded in the texts and obtaining detailed meaning from the text by applying, analyzing, and synthesizing. Students are aimed at developing their reading skills with an emphasis on skimming, scanning, understanding details, making inferences, and retelling.

Writing: Students are usually given a model text, and they are asked to produce one later. Students check their peers’ work in pairs, so they become more critical. Students are also provided with guidance and tips to deal with different types of writing tasks. These tasks are also given as homework; thus, students will expand the topic and revise the language. Alternatively, students can write cooperatively after doing research or having a discussion. It fosters students’ motivation and peer evaluation.
