It is out of the question that most people wou!d describe a good friend through the qua!ities of their own good friends. Despite this probable variety, some adjectives will come to the fore to describe the qualities of a good friend, though. Personally, I believe that some of the personal qualities are more important for a good friendship. Firstly, the most important personal quality of a good friend is reliability. A good friend must be reliable because good friends should help you feel comfortable and confident. You also need someone to share your secrets, plans, and thoughts to relax. To me, the second personal quality for a good friendship is about supporting. There will be tough times when you need support, and supportive friends will give you help and courage. They will not leave you halfway through and will stand by you. Another important quality is being understanding. Understanding friends will be able to understand how you feel and if there’s something wrong, they will be tolerant. To sum up, people may have different views on the qualities of a good friend, but as I see it, being reliable, supportive, and understanding is vital.
