After a long struggle on the ocean, he was rescued by a ship. Everything he left had changed in Memphis. Chuck was frustrated when he learned Kelly got married another man and had a child. He felt strange, lost, and lonely again in the place where he belonged. In the end, he drove to Texas to deliver the unopened box back to its real owner, but he couldn’t find anyone in the house and left the box on the porch with a note stating that the parcel saved his life. He drove back and stopped at a crossroads. It was time to choose his own path.
