I’ve been skiing since my childhood and I hadn’t hit the slopes in Turkey before. This
amazing country is home to snow-capped mountain ranges reaching over 3,000 metres. I think the best place to ski and snowboard in Turkey is Palandöken, which is Europe’s longest natural ski run. I also didn’t miss out on a chance to try rock climbing in Olympos, Antalya. It was more challenging than skiing!

Turkey is one of the most eye-catching water sports destinations in the world with its over 8,000 km of coastline. As an experienced windsurfer I can say that Alaçatı is better than many spots in Europe. İt has 330 strong windy days suitable for windsurfing. Sea kayaking over a sunken Lycian city in Kekova was as exciting as windsurfing in Alaçatı. Of course I didn’t content myself with this much of adventure. Next time I visit Turkey, exploring the underwater beauties on the Mediterranean coast is the number one thing on my bucket list.
