Tom: Look at the whale! It’s big and black.
Nick: But, this whale is small and grey.
Ann: Look at the dolphins. They are playing. They are friendly.
Sue: But the sharks aren’t friendly. Look at their teeth. I don’t like sharks.
Ann: Seahorses are beautiful. Look! This seahorse is yellow.
Nick: I like pigeons. This grey pigeon is small.
Tom: I like seagulls. They are on the beach.
Sue: Look at the ladybird.
Ann: Where is it?
Sue: It’s on the frog.
Ann: İt is red and black. I like ladybirds.
Nick: Look at this ladybird. İt is black and yellow.
Tom: Oh no! İt isn’t a ladybird. İt is a bee. Nick: Sorry!
• Hold up your book. Point to the pictures of the characters. Ask who they can see and where they are.
• Set the pre-listening question: What are they doing? What are they talking about?
• Play the CD. Students listen. They give the correct answer to your questions.
• Play the video. Students watch the video. After they watch the video, play the CD again. Students listen and point.
• After they watch the video and listen to the CD, ask the questions to check the comprehension: How many whales are there? What are the dolphins doing? Who likes seagulls? Who likes pigeons? Where is the lady bird? Is the ladybird black and yellow?

• Hold up your book and point to the pictures ofthe animals. Ask questions about the pictures of the animals. Example: Is this whale big? Is this seagull red? Is this dolphin blue?
• Encourage the students to respond to the questions using full sentence answers: Yes, this whale is big. / No, this seagull is white.
• Give the instructions: Listen, point and say. Students say the words and point to the pictures.
