Objective: To give students practice asking and answering “Yes/No” questions and short answers.
• Show the dolphin flashcard and ask the question: Is the dolphin purple? Is the dolphin grey? Elicit the answer: No, it isn’t. / Yes, it is.
• Hold up your book. Point to the animal pictures. Elicit the names of them pointing to them.
• Explain the activity and what they are going to do.
• Say: Listen and answer. Stop after the first one. Do it as an example together with the students.
• Stop after each question and get the short answers. If they say “No, it isn’t.” Ask the question: What colour is it?
