Last summer, I travelled to London, the capital of the United Kingdom. I booked my flight early and received my boarding pass at the airport. After landing, I used public transport to reach my accommodation in a central neighbourhood. The hotel was located near many famous landmarks. If you travel by tube, you can reach almost any part of the city easily.

The next morning, I joined a guided tour. The guide said that the population of London is over 9 million. We visited the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, and the British Museum. The royal guard impressed me with their calm and powerful posture. If tourists visit Buckingham Palace, they admire the impressive architecture.One highlight was the statue of Queen Victoria, which represents British history. I really enjoy exploring historical buildings during my travels. I wish there were fewer queues at some attractions, though!

Later, I attended a local food festival. There were stalls from around the world offering dishes like Turkish pizza, curry, and seafood stew. If we attend food fairs, we always try something new. I tried a spicy curry and a juicy kebab. I didn't regret it!The organiser stated that a traditional music show would be performed in the evening. I plan to return next year to enjoy it again.

Many new exhibitions will be opened in the museum next summer. A sculpture collection will be displayed in the royal gallery. A new festival will be organised in Hyde Park.Shall we visit the British Museum together next time?
