Hi, my name is Meltem. I have visited an art museum for my project and it was wonderful. The paintings were really eye-catching. The style of the artists inspired me a lot. I learned that Mihri Müşfik Hanım was one of the first female Turkish artists. She started modern art in Türkiye by drawing famous people's portraits. Another famous artist was İbrahim Çallı. His paintings were mainly focused on nature and the environment. He educated many well-known artists and introduced a new perspective through his paintings. I also saw the paintings of Osman Hamdi Bey. He was an artist and archaeologist, too. He established Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and the İstanbul Archaeological Museum. I also learned more facts about another artist, Etem Çalışkan, who was a famous calligraphy artist. He designed Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's signature and photos used in the school books.
