FAMILIAR STRANGER
Last night, I came home late. My housemate was out for a birthday party and I was alone at home. I decided to watch my favourite TV show while I was eating snacks. I was so tired that I fell asleep in the middle of the show. After a while, I woke up with a strange noise. A woman was screaming and asking for help. It took me a few minutes to realise where I was and where the strange noise came from. My heart was beating wildly and I was sweating buckets. I turned off the TV and tried to concentrate on the voice. At first, I thought that our neighbours were fighting and I decided to call the police. However, I couldn’t find my mobile phone! Things were getting weirder with each passing moment. I took a deep breath and went out to the balcony, but there wasn’t anything around. Then, I walked to the door and opened it silently to check the apartment. Guess what? There was nothing, too! I was still hearing the woman’s shouting, but I couldn’t find out where it was coming from.

I knocked at the next door and asked the man about the strange voices and screams. He stared at me with a blank face and shut the door. As it was frightening enough for me, I went back home. While I was locking the door, somebody touched on my shoulder! I was scared to death and I began to pray till I heard him saying ‘It’s me, Bran’ He was my housemate! In the end, I found out that the voices were coming from Bran’s computer. He came home after I fell asleep and was watching a movie in his room. I told him the whole story and he couldn’t help laughing at me all night. I went to bed peacefully that night but couldn’t forget how I felt at those terrifying moments.
