Kitapta görseller ön plana çıkarılmış ve görsel tasarım ise Beyza DİRİK, Zafer HAŞİMOĞLU tarafından yapılmış.

Arjumand Banu Begüm Arjumand Banu Begüm was born in Agra in 1593. She was a princess who came from a family of Persian nobility.
Prince Khurram His original name was Shah Jahan which means “King of the World.” He was the fifth Mughal emperor. After the death of Emperor Jahangir, they chose him as a successor. So he took the throne upon his father’s death in 1627.
Love at first sight When Prince Khurram met Arjumand Banu Begüm, he fell in love with her at first sight in 1607. At that time, he was 15 years old and she was 14years old.
The love story begins Even though the passion and love were equal on both sides, they had to wait five years to get married.
A royal marriageAt last, Khurram got married with Arjumond Banu Begüm in 1612. The marriage was the best of its time, so this was the beginning of an eternal love story.
Mümtaz Mahal Arjumond Banu Begüm was one of the three wives of Shah Jahan, yet she was his favourite. Aftertheir wedding celebrations, Shah called her MÜMTAZ MAHAL, which means “the jewel of the palace” and “the highest honour of the land”.
Mümtaz Mahal and Shah Jahan’s happy life Mümtaz Mahal was always on her king’s side, for example, she accompanied him everywhere he went. Shortly, they had a very happy life like a dream.
Death of Mümtaz Mahal On one of the battle grounds, she was pregnant and gave birth to their 14th child. She fell extremely ili after the birth of their child and she died. Before taking her last breath, she asked her husband to build a monument to symbolize their love.
The Taj Mahal was built as a Symbol of the love After her death, Shah Jahan went into mourning for 2 years. Then, he appeared again with white hair, bent back and a worn face. Shah Jahan decided to pay tribute to his loving wife and to fulfill her last promise. So, he decided to build a monument. Although 20,000 workers were working during the construction of the monument, it took 22 years to build and the name “Taj Mahal” was given to it.
