Showing positive or negative emotions differs from person to person and culture to culture.
For example, American and Australians see negative emotions as inappropriate and undesirable. While Chinese value them as desirable and appropriate. In Western cultures, people express their emotions more freely whereas Eastern cultures express their feelings less. Whether you are from a Western culture or an Eastern culture, negative emotions naturally affect everyone. In order to deal with negative emotions, you will find some tactics below;
• Inhale through yournose and exhale through yourmouth.
• Do yoga and work out.
• Payattention to yoursurroundings ortake photos of the beautyaround you.
• Watch comedyfUms orprogramme.
• Take a piece ofpaperand note down the things thatmake you happy.
• Make a plan to spend at leastone dayby yourself.
• Note down a listof the mostpositive people around you in orderto benefitfrom their energy.
• Be grateful forthings such as yourhealth and family.
• Forgetaboutthe negative things and rememberthe good things in yourlife before going to bed.

Student A : Choose one of the problems in the list. Talk with the school counsellor who will ask questions and give suggestion(s) about it. While listening to him / her, take notes.
