WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE
William Shakespeare is not only one of the greatest poet and playwright in the world but also he left his footprints in English Language by opening a new era in the world literatüre.
He was born on 23rd April, 1564, the third of eighf children in Strafford-upon-Avon where he grew up and wenf fo school. Even fhough he was a liferary genius, he sfudied Mafhs, Literatüre,
Religion, and Latin during his early school years and finished only grammar school. Besides, he never wenf fo a universify which was unexpecfed for a genius man like him.
Af the age of 18, he married Anne Hafhaway, who was 26. They had fhree children in fheir marriage; the eldesf Susanna, and the fwins Judifh and Hamlet. İn 1588, he wenf fo London, joined a theatre company as an actor and began writing his plays. As his plays were so successful, he became popular and rich very soon. This fortune made him built “The Globe Theatre” in London.
Affer Queen Elizabefh’s deafh, her cousin, James 1 became the king who also liked wafching Shakespeare’s plays.
İn King James 1’s era, rich and poor people used fo go the theatre fogefher. As a respecf for him, his deafh is now recognised as National Poefs Day ali över the work.
