a) Finally Chuck came back to the place he belonged to. Kelly was shocked to see him alive. She had kept waiting for him no matter how the situation was hopeless. She told Chuck that he was the love of her life and they lived happily ever after.
b) However, his return had become his new island; everything he left had changed. Kelly had married another man and they had a baby. His company had declared him dead and already held his funeral. Chuck had to begin his life anew and this time he was much stronger.
CAST AWAY
Chuck Noland was a manager who worked for a delivery company. He worked too much and had to travel overseas a lot.
This was the biggest problem in his long- term relationship with Kelly Frears. She always complained about Chuck’s constant absence due to his job. They were planning to spend Christmas together when a business trip altered their plan again. “I’ll be right back” he said. Unfortunately, it took about four years.
While he was flying to Australia, his plane crashed. He found himself on a very small and deserted island as the only survivor. He struggled hard to survive but he also faced the emotional challenge of alone. His only friend on the island was a volleyball on which he made bleeding hand.
As days turned into months and then years, the hard-nosed businessman who lived for the moment matured and seemed to learn to live in moment. He learned patience.
Chuck decided to risk his life to try to sail off the island. If he had failed, he would have drowned.
But he succeeded. He was eventually rescued by a ship in the ocean.
