A part-time job is a great way for students to start taking their first steps into the working world. Studies show that students who work are more confident and possess better time-management skills than students who are not employed. İn addition to offering a paycheck, some independence, and satisfaction, a part-time job can provide teenagers with both training and experience.
Many fields have both advantages and disadvantages. However; part time jobs are so beneficial that we can hardly ever see disadvantages. Students improve themselves in many areas with part time jobs…
1. First of all it is like a second education. All the experience which they gain during part time job will certainly count when they complete their schooling or graduation. Hence, they will really find out that part time jobs are really helpful if they do it while their study is under process. İt will help them in studies and will also earn a valuable experience.
2. Working a part-time job early in life will also help students discover their areas of strength as well as areas of weakness. This gives them time to develop their weak areas and capitalize on their strengths. This not only helps with developing the students’ skills, know one’s strengths and weaknesses also aides a great deal in the all important task of choosing a future career.
3. Whatever they work, it’s quiet sure that they will be able to learn certain new things. If they work for at least four to five hours per day on website designing which is really a challenging job they will be able to learn a lot from it. If they complete their graduation and work part time on this for one year, they can really hope for a good job as soon as they pass their graduation in the field of computers.
4. Part-time jobs also make them block off time each day for work, school and homework. They might also create blocks in their schedule for television watching, sports and recreation. Without a job, their schedules can be significantly unstructured.
5. Finally, last, but not least, finance skills. Even if the teen is simply using their earnings to pay for their own expenses, they will learn to budget between clothes, movies, and car expenses.
